We invite you for another analysis summarizing precious metal rates last week. We will discuss changes in platinum, palladium and family prices from March 15 to March 22. These are the elements that are used in car catalysts. Today, the analysis will be special, because we want to inform you about the next record.

Platinum quotation can be assessed in two ways. By mid-week – i.e. until Wednesday, March 20, the rate increased. First, gradually reaching the value of 835 USD / ounce on Monday. Then the chart went up sharply. On Tuesday, he crossed nearly $ 852 for an ounce of platinum. On Wednesday, in turn, the metal reached its weekly maximum – less than USD 865 / ounce. After exceeding this amount, the price began to fall. At first unhurried – by less than $ 2, and the next day by just $ 15. The average exchange rate of this precious element was 849 USD / ounce. It is still a higher average than in the whole of March or even the last three months.

The same applies to palladium. First, we recorded an increase, then there was a significant drop. In this case, however, the upward trend occurred until Thursday. Most importantly, already on Monday the palladium exchange rate reached another record value – 1 538 USD / ounce. In addition … it did not end there. The price continued to grow. First, up to 1 553 USD / oz, followed by a slight increase to 1 560 USD / ounce, to finally reach the highest ever value of 5776.60, on 21 March. It’s up to $ 50 more than the previous record we wrote about two weeks ago. Admittedly, just after reaching such a high amount, the rate started to down deep, but the value with which the week was closed – 1 520 USD / ounce – can not be considered unfavorable. These quotes only proved the skeptics that negative forecasts do not always find their reference in reality.

Also mistaken were those who assumed that the rod would stop at the site, or its quotations would go down. As we suspected recently, the course further increased its value. On March 15, we started from $ 3,000 / ounce. Over the next four days, rhodium increased its value to 3060 USD / oz and maintained it by the end of the week.

The gold rate increased from Friday to Wednesday. The beginning of the week was 1,302 USD / ounce. Until Wednesday, it gradually increased and reached less than USD 1314 / ounce. Only on Thursday there was a small drop in quotations and the price of an ounce decreased by almost $ 5. Quickly, however, he lost the deal on Friday. In the case of silver, as in the case of other precious metals, growth was recorded until Thursday. The maximum rate was $ 15.65 / ounce.
