We cordially invite you to a weekly analysis of precious metal prices. The recent situation on the global stock exchange has already accustomed us to a drop in the rates. Is this time we can not count on the optimistic accent of our summary? Let’s find out! On May 24-31, the price of platinum fell by just over $ 13 / ounce. It seems that this is not a big difference. Unfortunately, if we take into account that during the next few weeks this trend will continue, in a few months the difference will be huge. The maximum price that platinum reached last week was $ 809 / ounce. After its achievement, there was a two-day breakdown. During two days, the ounce lost $ 16 per ounce. Despite the temporary one-day growth, the rate did not improve significantly. The average in the last week was around 798 USD / ounce. That’s about $ 36 less than the average of May. This does not sound optimistic. It would seem that palladium records are more advantageous. Here, from the beginning of the week, the line went up. It started with a rate of 1 327 USD / ounce. Then, until Thursday, we could observe quite a large increase, thanks to which this metal gained the value of 1 366 USD / ounce. The joy, however, did not last long, because the drop in the price at the end of the week caused that the palladium finally got a lower price than the initial one – USD 1 324 / ounce.

Palladium quotation chart – source: bankier.pl As for the rod, we can not complain this week. Admittedly, the price initially stood at USD 2,600 / ounce, but already on May 29, it began to quickly gain in value and already on May 31, an ounce of the family cost $ 2,650 / ounce. After the last few weeks of full losses, we finally see a light in the tunnel and hope that the situation will improve. Also, gold gave us reason to be happy last week. The initial price was 1 284 USD / ounce. Despite the slight drop in the course that took place on Tuesday, the overall tone of last week is positive. The price from Wednesday to Friday increased by USD 26 / ounce and amounted to USD 1,305 / ounce at the end of the described period. As you can see, there are still a lot of missing values from February. The last week’s changes in silver prices are interesting. Although the change during the week was symbolically 0.01 USD / ounce, in the course of these few days a lot happened. After a gentle poweekendowym increase, the time has come for a drastic for this element rate drop to 14.33 USD / oz. The difference was virtually matched by an equally large increase in quotations.

Silver quotation chart – source: bankier.pl The USD / PLN exchange rate, the smallest value reached the beginning of the week -3,824, the largest in turn on Wednesday, May 29 – 3,863. You can find the current precious metal prices in our „Exchange rates” tab. We invite you for a week for a new analysis!
