What were the prices of precious metals last week? We will discuss primarily the platinum, palladium and family rosters, that is, those that fill the channels of car catalysts, but gold and silver are also worth noting.
During the last analysis, we mentioned the platinum price drop, and its jump in the last days of the week by 22 dollars. This time we also have a similar situation. The beginning of the week may not have been extremely successful. It began with a $ 6 fall in the price of an ounce, which after the weekend reached $ 814. The next day it was worth about $ 2 more, and on Thursday, January 28, it cost just over USD 824. In addition, it was not the end of growth. Also Friday resulted in favorable quotations and the week ended with the maximum value for this metal – 835 USD / ounce. This may not be the highest price in the last month, but the trend is favorable.

The chart of palladium quotations is slightly different. The last few days are a series of increases and decreases. On Friday, January 25, we started with a value of $ 1,323 / ounce – quite a good result, right? Unfortunately, the next day there was a serious break in the course of this element. On Tuesday, the ounce was worth only $ 1,293 – a drop of $ 31. We have not seen such a drastic decline for a long time. Fortunately, the next day palladium almost made up for its losses. Almost, because on Wednesday, January 30, the ounce cost less than $ 1,322, so the full recovery is still a bit lacking. Then we had to deal with a fall – but not as drastic as this Tuesday – by $ 14. Friday ended with a quotation of 1 317 USD / ounce.
What is the situation in the case of a line? As we reported recently, its value has grown strongly in recent days. The ounce reached USD 2,320 on January 21 and lasted until the 25th. What happened later? We were good and we were right. The price rose virtually every day. Almost the next day, the ounce cost $ 10 more, three days later the difference reached $ 20. At USD 2,340 / ounce, it stabilized temporarily, but on January 31 it started to increase again and on February 1 the week ended with the amount of USD 2,350 / ounce. Wonderful is not it?

The gold graph is also very promising. For the vast majority of the week he climbed up. We started from 1 302 USD / ounce. Almost on Monday, there was practically no difference, but Tuesday brought an unexpected jump to 1 310 USD. Wednesday and Thursday only sealed a good streak and gold reached the value of 1 325 USD / ounce. Even despite the Friday’s decline, it is impossible to fail this week. The Thursday course was definitely the highest in more than half a year.
In the case of silver, most of the week is also the exchange rate increases. The beginning of the discussed period began quite slowly and timidly. The first major change in quotations was brought in on Tuesday – the ounce rose to USD 15.85. On Wednesday, in turn, it reached the highest since April 2018 – USD 16.08 / oz, and then began to fall – first slowly, to 16.07 on Thursday. Later, however, more radically up to USD 15.91 / ounce. With such a value, the week ended.
